Welcome to MSC Cruises

The ruise line MSC Cruises, based in Naples was founded in 1987. In 1987 the cruise line was StarLauro Cruises but in 1995 the name was changed and MSC Cruises started selling cruises onboard three of its fleet. The three operating cruise ships at the time were MSC Rhapsody, MSC Monterey and MSC Symphony with MSC Rhapsody the only of the three ships still in operation for MSC Cruises.

With offices in 26 different countries MSC Cruises is one of the largest Italian based cruising companies in operation with a fleet of 10 ships and two more scheduled to arrive in 2009 and 2010. The fleet currently consists of three classes; the premium class, the classic class and the fantasia class.

In the premium class you will find MSC Armonia, MSC Lirica, MSC Musica, MSC Opera, MSC Poesia, MSC Orchestra and MSC Sinfonia. In the classic class you will find MSC Rhapsody and MSC Melody. In the fantasia class you will find MSC Fantasia who is the newest addition to the fleet and joined in 2008. She will be joined by MSC Splendida in 2009 and MSC Magnifica in 2010.
